To get on the NaNoCon updates list:
This year ALL the hotel rooms are reserved just for us!
We're taking over the whole resort -- it's a beautiful hotel full of secular friends, just happy heathens hanging out by the lake.
We have a special discounted rate of $192! (before taxes) (Otherwise it would be $235 / night) In 2026 the rooms sold out, so don't wait to make your reservations (no need to hesitate, they have a generous cancellation policy).
The main nights will be FRIDAY July 30, and SATURDAY July 31, 2027.
Note: this year we even have 25 rooms available on THURSDAY July 29. Come early, relax, enjoy the resort, make it a long weekend!
Important: Do NOT try to reserve directly from the venue's webpage online because it will show that weekend as "sold out" -- because all the rooms are blocked for us, of course! If you need to reserve with the front desk, be sure to mention you're with "NaNoCon" or they won't have any rooms for you!
Instead, use the ROOM RESERVATIONS button here on this page to access our special reduced group rate! (please do confirm that it's set to the correct arrival date & number of nights that you want to stay).

CABINS: For 2027 we've reserved 6 Cabins (each one sleeps 6-8) for the excellent price of $300/night! (2 night minimum) Perfect for a group, located a 5 minute drive from the Lodge (the NaNoCon venue), or a 5 minute walk (on a path with multiple steps). Details here, reservations available only through the NaNoCon reservation link here.
CAMPING: For 2027 we have now reserved a Group Campsite as a brand new, affordable camping option! This space will feature RUSTIC CABINS (that sleep 2-4) and lawn areas for TENT & VEHICLE CAMPING (without electrical hookups). For amenities and info on the Lodge at Montgomery Bell, refer to their website here. For any customer service needs, feel free to contact the Front Desk directly by phone at 615-797-1600 - you must mention "NaNoCon" or they'll tell you they're sold out... to us!
By Car
For driving directions, use Google Maps (this is important) to 1000 Hotel Avenue, Burns, TN. Apple Maps may show the address in White Bluffs, TN, and takes a very inconvenient back route. Google Maps gives the best route, and is the recommended app for driving directions.
Use the park entrance on US-70.
From Nashville take I-40 W, take exit 192 toward Pegram, then right on to McCrory Ln. Turn left on to US-70 W, and after 17 miles turn left on to Jackson Hill Rd (entrance to Montgomery Bell State Park). Follow directions to the Lodge, left on Hotel Ave. Follow the drive around the lake, 1.6 miles, to the Lodge, and you'll see signs for NaNoCon at the entrance!
By Plane
Nashville International Airport (BNA) is about an hour by car East of the venue. If you need a ride from the airport, let us know using the Contact box... we can't promise, but we may be able to help you find a ride!
By Rideshare from the Airport
In 2026, average Uber rates to the venue were around $80, day & time dependent.
